december 2021: nearly 100 banners featuring pairs of eyes of children from the jens-nydahl elementary school have adorned the exterior of the subway station at kottbusser tor.
these banners reflect the spirit of the former project “wir sind der kotti” (“we are kotti”), which aimed, among other goals, to amplify the representation of children at kottbusser tor while engaging with public space.
in addition to the installation at the subway station, more banners featuring eye portraits can permanently be seen at the jens-nydahl elementary school on admiralstrasse and at the gustav-meier school.
